• Hilarious in Hindsight: The fanfic manages to be surprisingly spot-on about several plot points that would appear in the show.
  • Atticus insists on joining Tulip on her journey because he deems the Steward to be a threat to his people that must be dealt with.
  • Tulip is the only child of a divorced couple, though here she lives with her father rather than her mother, and they separated when Tulip was much younger.
  • In Chapter 10, when Tulip is looking through some mirrors in order to view her memories, she's initially unable to see anything in the blank glass and wonders if she's lost her reflection. While that isn't the case here, Book One indeed ends with Tulip no longer having a reflection.
  • Tulip is forced to experience some of her past memories, though it is through mirrors rather than a tape and they're memories from alternate lives rather than her own.
  • While it isn't the requirement it is in the show, Tulip is only able to leave the train after resolving her personal problems.
  • Though the circumstances are different, Tulip rejects her first available exit off the train on the basis that she still has unfinished business on the other-dimensional vessel.
  • One of the trials Tulip has to go through is performing an emotional song, with this being a major challenge and climatic moment in the fic that was specifically designed for her by the Conductor.
  • One-One is the train's true conductor, but instead of the usurper being another passenger, it's a third personality called Zero/"Mad-One" that deemed them unnecessary and removed them.
