  • Strawman Has a Point: Haberbeck, though written as the opponent and thus "wrong", seems in the right when he objects to Katja being in the courtroom while other witnesses are testifying, since it could result in her adjusting her testimony to fit theirs. This is why witnesses are separated ordinarily, after all. She's the co-plaintiff in the trial, so she has a right to stay though, the judges decide.
  • The Woobie: Katja, oh so much. Her husband and their six-year-old son were killed in a bombing, and she becomes a bitter and vengeful woman who rightfully wants the bombers brought to justice. She attempts suicide over her family dying without justice, but the murderers were found - and got acquitted. In the end, she uses a homemade bomb to kill both herself and the murderers of her family, and spends her final moments before the explosion watching a video of her deceased young son on her phone.
