YMMV / Holiday on the Buses

• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • The Butlers left Little Arthur behind from their holiday years before the same happened to Kevin McCallister. The only difference is that the Butlers went back for Little Arthur almost instantly.
  • The film features an Italian sibling duo called Maria and Luigi.
• Retroactive Recognition: The depot manager is played by Michael Sheard, who would later be best known for playing Herr Grunwald in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Admiral Ozzel in The Empire Strikes Back.
• Special Effect Failure:
  • The nighttime scenes are all clearly filmed during the day but with an unconvincing dark filter over the picture. The worst culprit is the moonlight mystery tour scene.
  • When Stan's bus is found to be submerged in the high tide, it is painfully obvious that an image of the bus (in a different resolution no less) has been superimposed over the ocean.
