• Broken Base: Spitfire blowing up at Taylor/Elpis following the E88 raid has been a major point of contention among fans. One side thinks she's being entirely unfair and sees her leaving Elpis' team in favor of joining the Wards as a betrayal, while others believe she is entirely justified in her rant as while Taylor did help Spitfire to an extent, she only helped her cape life and did very little about her actual civilian life. This died down significantly after Spitfire and Elpis patch things up and the latter unmasks herself.
• Fan Nickname: The Butcher Collective is sometimes called "The Choir", and Butcher’s Shard is occasionally called "The Master Of Ceremonies".
• I Knew It!:
  • Many readers guessed that Konniggit/Ironclad's civilian identity was Taylor's classmate Tarquin well before the reveal happened.
  • A lot of readers also guessed that Hookwolf would reveal that Elpis is actually Butcher XV while in the Birdcage (though Dragon overhears this information instead of Hookwolf telling her straight-up).
• Les Yay: Many fans of New Boss have this opinion of Amy and Taylor, in no small part due to the tension between the two with the former keeping a vigilant eye on Taylor in case she ever decides to go postal.
