But because they are the champions of the Conversion and the architects of the Christian kingdom of Norway, the narrative treats them like they are saints, even though you wouldn't know from their behavior.In the case of Saint Olaf, he was attributed miracles both before and after his death - interestingly, his first posthumous miracle being healing one of the men who had killed him on the battlefield of the wound he had inflicted.
