- Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: This may be the reason why it took so long for the original manga to receive an adaptation. With how corrupt Kitaro gets and how tragic things become; this isn't the easiest story to get into, especially if you are used to the widely known version of Kitaro which is much more idealistic.
