  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: During "A Cellar in a Day" from "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel", the farmer's horse gets a brief line and joins in the first chorus. At no point before or after did he or any other animal in the special show the ability to talk, and it is never commented on.
  • Retroactive Recognition: The voice of Alexander in the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day adaptation is Daniel Tamberelli, who would go on to play notable roles such as Little Pete and Arnold during the 90s. The special was also animated by Klasky-Csupo, who would later be known for Rugrats.

  • Viewer Gender Confusion: The protagonist of Ira Sleeps Over is a young boy with a unisex haircut that can cause confusion. "Ira" is a Gender-Blender Name depending on the culture, but he's likely named after the masculine Hebrew name.
