YMMV / Gods of Incremental

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Sweetlolipop (Icecreamdude's brother) returns from The Incremental God Tree to provide a soundtrack that's atmospheric and beautiful, with some new musical genres as well. The whole Vol. 1 soundtrack can be found here.
    • "Pathless" helps provide a calm backdrop to the game's simple beginning before it truly opens up.
    • "Meta Prestige" is a very calm track with a decently-paced piano, as part of the main layers of the game.
    • The aptly-named "Energetic Song" plays when you're in Standard Path, and it really helps sell the contrast of the more fast-paced and activity-requiring nature of that path compared to the rest of the game.
    • "Prestige Tree" is chill and has some chiptune influences, with a great showcase of the expanding nature of the titular tree as you recover its layers.
    • Both Jacorb and Aarex have their themes return from the previous game, although they're remixed cutscene versions that sound more somber to fit their predicament.
    • "Enhance Path" may not be as pumping as "Energetic Song", but its crystalline sound that symbolizes your new path and the eventual pace increase can easily get one's blood flowing regardless.
    • "Crafting" is a fun, jaunty tune that fits the layer being based on creating things. When Artis speaks to you, the track is remixed into the slightly more traditional-sounding "Celestial of Crafting".
    • "Dawn of the Prestige Machines" is a Touhou Project-inspired boss theme that implies the scale of battles about to come and doubles in epicness once it really kicks in.
    • "End of the Beginning" remixes the boss theme to eases the tension after the battle and a lot of lore revelations, while also promising more for future chapters.
  • Tear Jerker: Ce308's battle ends quite sadly, with it slowly fading away while the slightly somber ending music plays. This hurts even more after you hear that it had noble goals for killing you.
