  • Bile Fascination: The reception of the series online has been almost universally negative due to the sketchy plot, but a number of commenters keep watching every episode anyway. To be fair, the series has some truly gorgeous artwork.
  • Broken Base: Many viewers criticize the show for its lack of a clearly outlined plot and ambiguous ending, which isn't helped by the show's use of surreal imagery, laden with symbolism around teenage romance, friendship and the fleeting nature of youth. Still, some viewers love the show for those exact qualities, stressing how it leads viewers to reach their own conclusion. It's not likely the two will ever reconcile, and unfortunately for the show, the detractors seem to be in the majority.
  • Hype Backlash: The series seems to suffer from this after being touted as the next Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea, getting a lot of criticism for its slow pacing, despite the beautiful setting.
  • So Bad, It's Good: A few people who managed to watch the entire thing thought of the series as this.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: You know, it would have been better if they had expanded upon the "future fragments" or maybe even the plot itself.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: Say what you will about the plot, but the quality of the backgrounds and scenery is consistently awesome.
