• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In this episode, Littlefinger tells Sansa that Joffrey will try to rape her and he promises to get her away from him. While he did get her away from Joffrey, he would later arrange her marriage to Ramsay. Since Ramsay did rape her, Littlefinger caused the very thing he was trying to save Sansa from to happen.
  • Varys assures Tyrion the people serving under him will honor and remember him, even when history will not. Come Season 8, the vast majority of those people are very likely dead, and Tyrion is not mentioned anywhere in the history book chronicling the events of the show.
• Heartwarming in Hindsight: Theon’s speech to his men becomes this in the final season. Yes the part where Theon dies with a spear in his gut like he mentioned in his speech is heartbreaking, but Theon was right about the good parts too. They will sing about the Battle of Winterfell for generations to come. Every man, woman, and child will know who Theon Greyjoy was and how long he stood to protect his home and family from the ultimate evil.
• One-Scene Wonder: Drogo's back! And he's just as badass as ever. Shame it's an illusion.
