YMMV / Foxes in Love

Go To

  • Awesome Moments: The November 22, 2022 comic has Green ask two gray foxes (indicated by Word of God in the caption to represent the author's family) to respect his boundaries and treat him better. When they refuse, Green simply goes "Okay" and walks away, instead choosing to live his life with people (read: foxes) like Blue, who will love and respect him.
And Green Fox lived happily ever after with people who don't think that's unreasonable.
  • Funny Moments:
  • Heartwarming Moments: An awful lot of the situations. Highlights include:
    • This strip was made for Pride Month in 2019, celebrating how far queer acceptance has come (while acknowledging how far it still has left to go in many parts of the world). The last panel shows Green and Blue hugging under a pride flag blanket while crying Tears of Joy.
I love you so much, and it's safe here.
    • The December 4th, 2022 strip sees Blue and Green visiting Blue's family for the holidays. Blue's mother reveals she's made a gingerbread house with models of the entire family, including Green, showing that she views him as part of the family too. Green is so touched he sheds Tears of Joy. It's even more heartwarming when one considers that in the November 22 strip, about two weeks earlier, Green had cut ties with his abusive biological family, meaning that he now has a much nicer family to take their place.
      Blue: Are you OK?
Green: (crying) I am a part of the gingerbread family.
    • The March 15, 2023 comic is a very sweet poem from Green to Blue about how he hopes they can spend their whole life together.
Now that I am 29 and you are 25
I think about how glad I am, that we have so much time
One day you are 55 and I'll be 59
Whatever we are up to, I hope we're doing fine
But life makes no promises, no guarantees
If these years are all we get, it's enough for me
At 95 and 99, whatever we can still do
All I'm really hoping is that I'm doing it with you
    • The August 14, 2023 comic has Green unable to decide which part of the day is his favorite, because he loves every moment he spends with Blue.
  • Sweet Dreams Fuel: Most of the comics are absolutely adorable. It's hard not to smile at how much Green and Blue love each other.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: The foxes lack any kind of Tertiary Sexual Characteristics. Since most of the comics also don't mention the foxes' genders in the dialogue, many readers are left thinking that the foxes are meant to have an Ambiguous Gender, or that one of them is male and the other female. Both Blue and Green are male.
