YMMV / Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends S5E9 "Nightmare on Wilson Way"

Go To

  • Karmic Overkill: It turns out the zombie apocalypse was all a prank everyone at Fosters was pulling on Bloo to get back at him for the snake in the can prank. Even if it is annoying, that hardly warrants making him fear for his life and life of his friends.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Bloo surprisingly gets put in this situation. Near the end, he's scolded for giving Mac sugar, even though Bloo's reasons for doing so was to free Mac from his bonds (he had been tied up due to it being Halloween, and he tends to go...crazy when he has sugar) and escape the "zombies", which the others were pretending to be in order to pay him back for his prank. However, his prank was an annoying, but (mostly) harmless snakes-in-the-peanut-brittle-can-prank, while their prank went too far and actually made him fear for his own life (which The Other Wiki states that it could count as assault). It's also worth noting, that they didn't notify Mac about their prank which could have harmed him, especially since it ultimately resulted in him running out into the street during his sugar craze.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The residents of Foster's get beaten up by a sugar-crazed Mac after cornering him and Bloo in the latter's bedroom. However, considering the fact that they pulled a horrible prank on Bloo, refused to drop the charade even after he was clearly getting desperate, and had the gall to act like it was Bloo's fault that Mac went on a sugar rush, they deserved it.
