- Anvilicious: The author would like you to know that discrimination is bad. The book is not remotely subtle about this, and the discrimination is never portrayed in subtle ways; it is always glaringly obvious and then the characters get long speeches about it and the narration talks about how superior Terrans are for having gotten rid of discrimination.
