• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Many viewers suspect the "Customer of the Week" promotion was just done to get new customers coming back, meaning Lois already lost her chance to win long ago and was always doomed to fail.
  • Did the House Of Brews staff actually like Lois? Or were they just being Stepford Smilers towards her because of her annoying small talk, Condescending Compassion and holding up the line? Numerous YouTube and Reddit commenters who were former baristas, or coffee shop regulars that the baristas vented to because they weren't like this, mentioned how much they loathed customers who behaved like Lois does, but forced themselves to be polite. It would certainly explain why Lois never won "Customer Of The Week" in the first place.
  • Lois grumbles about the barista not telling her he had roommates who could feed his cat for him, instead of her, but perhaps that was the point; to get Lois in a position where his roommates would catch her and alert them to the fact something was wrong, in this case, her kidnapping of him.
