• Catharsis Factor: Chapter 331 has Ayaka put down her Hero Ball for a moment and agree to let Touka use Freeze on Kirihara. The fan base sighs with relief. It's not much, but it's a start.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: It is not Vicius, Yasu, Kirihara, or even Oyamada that is the most hated of the characters in the story. It is Ayaka with her self-righteous martyr complex. This is even taking into account that she's the only one who stood up to protest Mimori's early disposal to the Disposal Ruins, the fact that she struggles to keep her classmates alive, and has had to witness several deaths, unable to do anything, the fact that several of her worse classmates have tried to kill her, she has nobody she can really trust, and, as it turns out, Vicius has been plying her with brainwashing magic to make her emotionally unbalanced and Stupid Good delusional. She is a genuinely tragic character and is hated for it, but she's not doing herself any favors.
