  • In the author’s note for Chapter 1, anothvortex states that Sakura is better suited to be a sister type of character. Kishimoto would later mention that Naruto and Sakura’s relationship is that of a brother and sister in the manga.
  • In Chapter 15, Jiraiya makes an offhand comment about Sasuke being Hashirama reborn. It’s later revealed in canon that Naruto is technically Hashirama reborn as a result of both being reincarnations of Asura Ōtsutsuki.
