• Broken Base: This episode starts the arc with the Eds and cul-de-sac kids attending school. To this day, fans have hotly debated whether this was a fun idea and the logical conclusion to continuing a show centered around middle school-aged kids or an awkward transition that ruined the charm of the Minimalist Cast by keeping the cast minimal in a setting which should have been swarming with kids.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Eds' Faustian deal with the Kanker sisters is rendered pointless by later episodes taking place at school, in which the Kankers are apparently averse to causing any trouble (likely due to teachers, but the Kankers don't seem like the type of people to let authority figures stop them), which means that the Eds could have gone with Double D's more practical solution instead of publicly humiliating themselves and getting raped by the sisters.
• Heartwarming Moments: Although they were obviously very reluctant to do so, the Eds (willingly) publicly humiliated themselves just so they could all be in the same homeroom. Hell, EDDY was overjoyed when he thought they would get to share a classroom together.
