Tainted by the Preview: For the first issue's preview, which was for Ryan Wilder's first solo comic, the writers chose to highlight... Lena Luthor, a character who appeared on Supergirl and who had no prior connection to Batwoman. This did not affect sales, as a lot of Ryan Wilder fans had already pre-ordered the comic long before it was revealed that Lena would be appearing in it, but it did significantly dampen enthusiasm for the comic, as many fans felt that Lena overshadowed Ryan in what was supposed to be her own comic.
Unexpected Character: See that boy right beside the Dan Garret Blue Beetle in the Stargirl story? That's his Golden Age sidekick Sparkington J. Northrup, alias "Sparky", a character so obscure that, when Linkara did a retrospection on the three legendary Beetles, he was shocked that such a character existed and was confused as to why no one spoke more about him.
