YMMV / Doctor Who S16 E1 "The Ribos Operation"

• Hilarious in Hindsight: Both the Doctor and Romana (as well as others) claim to be from the North. Apparently, this is one of the planets that does have a North.
• Ho Yay: The Graff and Sholakh, particularly in the latter's death scene.
• One-Scene Wonder: Cyril Luckham as the White Guardian. He does nothing but sit in a chair and set up the plot for the season in the first five minutes of the first episode, but eerily sticks in your mind.
  The Doctor: You mean nothing will happen to me?
  White Guardian: Nothing at all. Ever.
• Special Effect Failure: The Shrivenzale is poor even by contemporary standards.
• Viewer Pronunciation Confusion: The titular planet Ribos is pronounced as "REE-boss" by the characters, but fans will often say "RYE-boss", and if they're from North America they might even say "RYE-boce".
