YMMV / Dinosaurs S 01 E 01 The Mighty Megalosaurus

• Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Earl's story all true, is it all a made up story about the events leading to Baby's birth, or is it a little bit of both?
• Harsher in Hindsight: At the end, Earl tells Baby that the world will one day belong to him, because he, like his brother and sister, was born dinosaur, and dinosaurs rule the world, and as they look at some cave people, says that their species will rule the world forever. This is meant as Dramatic Irony as dinosaurs would one day become extinct, but the final episode just a few years later would show that the Sinclair kids would not grow up to be adults (and the Baby would not grow up past baby age) and have the honor of ruling the world.
  • Robbie jokes that Earl will be raising the Baby for a large portion of the rest of his lifespan and Earl complains that he'll be 60 before he will be able to "get his life back". The events of the last episode show that he will not live that long.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Arthur Rizzic becomes Mr. Richfield's assistant, and is rather mild mannered. After this, he was no longer used in this form (the same puppet, often performed by Brian Henson, would show up from time to time, recycled into other characters). His nice guy side could have made him a Smithers to Richfield's Mr. Burns.
