- Angst? What Angst?: There are some fans who wonder why the author doesn't go into depth with Hinata's past like the other Miracles and why it doesn't seem to affect him as much besides having some nightmares. Word of God justifies this for a few of reasons:
- One is because unlike the others he got out a lot sooner then them and as such wasn't as traumatized.
- Both Kuroko No Basket and Big Windup deals with themes of overcoming your past while Haikyuu is more about looking towards the future. The author wanted to respect that aspect which is why we usually don't get a lot of details about Hinata's past.
- Finally it's because of Hinata's natural optimism, we've been shown multiple times even in canon where he always perfers taking anything negative and turning it into a positive experience for growth. The only way the author could still reconcile Hinata's positive outlook on the world and his Dark and Troubled Past was refusing to look back and dissociate between his current self and his past self.
