  • Alternate Character Interpretation: We never learn why Phil from "The Bogeyman Will Get You" murdered those two girls prior to the events of the episode, and it is not totally clear how much control he has over himself while a Wolf Man. Is he a Tragic Monster who kills only reluctantly to keep his secret safe, or a callous glorified Serial Killer?
  • Harsher in Hindsight: "Closed Circuit" has the premise of a news anchor's voice and image being replicated by technology, making his actual existence unnecessary; flash forward to 2023, when AI technology is at the point of replicating actors and their voices, leading to a massive strike by the Screen Actors Guild to protect their rights and livelihoods.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Neil Pollux from "Siege of 31 August". He's a hardcore nationalist who abuses his family, but he genuinely does love them and his issues stem from untreated PTSD and his unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with it.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The climactic battle between Neil and the toy soldiers at the end of "Siege of August 31" looks great, especially for something produced on a TV show budget.
