- Fair for Its Day: The Black Widow spends most of her co-starring run getting knocked out, injured, overwhelmed by emotions, or otherwise needing for Daredevil to save her. It's especially noticeable since the narration keeps describing how badass Natasha is. However, at the time she was praised as a much-needed female character getting some spotlight and independent characterisation, and who had her own complicated backstory which is entirely unrelated to Daredevil and which frequently became relevant. Certainly, she was one of only three women in the Marvel cast that got their name on a cover during the early 70s, and the only one who stayed there for more than five issues.
