YMMV / Crypt Killer

• Nightmare Fuel: This game has lots of monsters who tend to Jump Scare you to the death. Also, some of the bosses are just freaky. It's especially unsettling, if not terrifying, in the bad ending, where you are trapped with all of the games bosses. The character realizes there is no escape as they prepare to tear him apart.
• That One Boss: Of the six optional bosses, the Hydra definitely counts. It attacks you with its individual heads, one at a time, which you'll need to defeat (doing zero damage to its life meter in the process) and after a while the Hydra reveals itself, using ALL its heads to spam fireball attacks from everywhere. Its also the only boss that doesn't die onscreen — having severed all the heads, its body then sinks underwater, but its still moving and its implied to be regenerating its missing heads.
