  • Richard is forced to kill people and turn their corpses into gourmet meals to feed his devoted wife with.
  • April's sister Jean was attacked back in college, which traumatized her, and April's been letting her recuperate in her own home ever since. She's very visibly heartbroken when the transforming April calls her a freeloader and wants her out of the house.
  • April herself becomes a trash-talking cannibalistic ghoul after a certain little girl gets the drop on her, making Richard believe that the woman he married is gone forever.
