• Paranoia Fuel: The photos taken of James and Sarah much further away than they actually are, as if the photographer is stalking them. It gets even worse when he starts taking them from their house, and of their son.
• The Woobie: James and his family, who are haunted by the spirits of the equally woobie father and son that James let drown in Buenos Aires to gain his fame. They end the episode shocked and horrified when James mistakenly drowns their son Max in the pool in an insane rage.
