  • Awesome Moments:
    • Weiss talking Ilia down from bombing Amity Colosseum's engines despite being disarmed, having a broken aura, and being completely at Ilia's mercy.
    • Weiss choosing to publicly reveal her wings for the first time in front of a crowded stadium and on live international television.
    • Weiss finally flying for the first time, and saving her brother's life in the process. It's the culmination of everything she's worked for throughout the story, and the realization of a dream she'd thought impossible for most of her life.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Weiss coming out as a faunus to Blake's parents. It's the first time in her entire life that she's ever trusted anyone enough to open up like that without being forced to, and her trust is rewarded with all the understanding and compassion she always needed but never received growing up.
  • Tear Jerker: Pretty much everything about Weiss's skewed worldview after seventeen years of abuse counts, but in particular:
    • The way she beats herself up inside every time she earns just a little bit of happiness because she thinks she doesn't deserve it.
    • Her utter confusion at the idea that apologies aren't supposed to be humiliating.
    • The fact that even knowing what kind of people they are, she still expects reprimands when she shows her wings to Blake's parents.
  • The Woobie: Dear god, Weiss. Between her horrendously abusive home life, the racist propaganda she's been fed growing up, and keeping her faunus heritage a secret from the public, she's been put into a position where most of the warning signs of how much she's truly suffering can be mistaken for the entitlement of a spoiled rich girl or the same kind of shameless bigotry as her father. This effectively means that in general the people she fits in best with are the ones who would treat her worst if they knew what she was, and the people who would be most sympathetic to her situation if they knew tend to be the ones most hostile to her behavior.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: What Weiss becomes in the companion story, Griffon. Being subject to the same horrible childhood as mentioned above and pushed into cutting her wings off at age ten ultimately leads to her joining the White Fang and becoming almost as consumed by hate and vengeance as Adam. She even becomes a part of Salem's inner circle, all for a chance to get revenge on her father.
