• Harsher in Hindsight: Some people have seen Cooking For Cube's "Social Permadeath" gag as one of these after Nick tweeting out his disappointment with the Overcooked! Switch port ended in a slippery slope revealing multiple accounts of sexual harassment and his following termination with Vox Media. Not to mention their sign off "No problem fun"
  • On top of that, during episode #22 Griffin made a joke that turned out to be eerily prophetic.
  Griffin: Anyone can be a pervert. Not all perverts are like: "EEEH I'M A PERVEEERT". Lot of people can just be like: "Hi, how's it going? My name's Nick Robinson".
  • During an advert for ZipRecruiter, Griffin jokes about firing Nick before immediately backpedalling, saying he would never do that. The episode this occurs in would turn out to be the penultimate one, mere weeks before Nick's dismissal from Polygon.
  • Just to well and truly cap things off, the final episode has Griffin refer to the podcast as being long-since cancelled during a bit where the two hosts are pitching on Shark Tank.
