• Hilarious in Hindsight: When telling Chang how he's been part of the group all along, Abed compares him to the Cosmic Cube (actually the Tesseract) that brought together the Avengers in their titular movie. Several actors from this show, including Danny Pudi and Ken Jeong would end up cameoing in the MCU as the franchise progressed.
• Hollywood Homely: The Annie of the past is not supposed to be attractive, but she is still a beautiful girl with glasses, braces and somewhat frizzy hair.
