• Hilarious in Hindsight: Britta speculates Jeff and Slater's relationship lacked romance and would end once the thrill of the secrecy was gone. While their relationship manages to survive for a while, Britta and Jeff automatically break up after the group finds out about their relationship and accept it.
• Tear Jerker: During the fourth set of lyrics of "Tea for Two", Britta practically freezes in place seeing Jeff and Slater together in a way that it almost seem she was internally lamenting that she passed up an opportunity to enter a relationship with Jeff and start a family, much like the lyrics say.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Prof. Slater gets upset at Jeff for thinking of her only as friend after dating for two weeks, even though it sounds like their relationship has been entirely physical, with her even getting excited by the taboo nature of it. Apparently she's never heard of friends with benefits, or people having a relationship based entirely on sex.
