YMMV / Classroom Crisis

• Jerkass Woobie: "Nagisa." Had his entire family slaughtered. The girl he was used as a decoy to try and protect is struck with amnesia and doesn't remember he exists, and he spends the major part of his childhood being being sent on one Uriah Gambit after another, and being severely beaten whenever he returns alive, and successful from his missions. All so his greedy, immoral, adoptive "father" can steal his family's fortune, using him as a pawn.

• Tearjerker:
  • Nagisa's breakdown in Episode 11. He's lost his trump card that he had prepared so meticulously to help A-TEC, realized that he was playing right into his brother's plan the whole time, and on top of that, feels horribly guilty over his alleged betrayal of A-TEC. He says that whatever he has ever done was meaningless and for his own gain and just keeps berating himself over and over, still trying to keep his facade going and stop the tears from surfacing. And then, Mizuki just says this one line:
    Mizuki: You worked so hard. You did a good job. You came so close!
  • Upon hearing this, Nagisa immediately breaks down into tears. He had been treated like crap throughout his whole life, and this was, in all probability, the first time his efforts were genuinely acknowledged. It's no wonder that those simple words were so touching for him. The whole scene culminates in a rather heartwarming moment, where Nagisa, who has finally opened up about his feelings, hugs Mizuki, and both of them share their first kiss.
  • Nagisa's VA also did a great job conveying Nagisa's frustration and guilt during this scene. You can almost feel his emotions on the same scale.
