- Signature Scene: the "Laser Head Explosion" scene.
- Vindicated by History: More of commercially, not really critically. When the movie first was first released in 1986, it was a box office bomb. Producer Roger Corman and the creators blamed this on the film's original title, "Killbots", which they thought made audiences believe the film was some sort of Transformers-type cartoon movie. When they changed the title to it's current one, it did substantially better business at the box office.
