YMMV / Chants of Sennaar

Go To

  • Anvilicious: The message of the final stage, that only interacting with the world through computers leads to further isolation and societal degradation, is not exactly subtle. Then again, it's made more nuanced by the player restoring relations between the different castes by using computer terminals to translate chat messages.
    • On the other hand, another reading is that deliberately isolating oneself from others and using escapism to avoid confronting reality will not solve problems and might even create some, so maybe it could have been more anvilicious.
  • Breather Level: The Garden. Unlike Garrison and the early sections of the Galleries, the Garden has no stealth sections, and only one portion where you could fail. It's also a lot brighter, more colorful and cheerier than either of the two.
