• Nightmare Fuel: The infected towers deserve special mention; they are a stationary "structure" that is built off rotten and decomposing Body of Bodies. Not only are they a nightmarish and disgusting sight to behold, but their primary function is to release a gas that will infect every living being unless they are destroyed in time (which spews a lot of infected if attacked). Just imagine Legion, but stationary... and there can be more of them.
• Spiritual Successor: This game is essentially [PROTOTYPE], only in an RTS playstyle (unless you're controlling Winters, which switches to a Third-Person perspective) where you play as a government backed organization, complete with soldiers and military assets, and can (potentially) be more heroic than Blackwatch - it bears a similar premise where it deals with a similar outbreak (Pangu Virus and Blacklight) and a military organization have to be called-in to deal with the threat, and even deal with stronger infected variants during a prolonged operation (the Leviathan and Juggernauts are essentially Cepheus Protocol's version of Hydras and a Mini-Boss bearing the same name respectively). "Patient Zero", the target CERC is after, acts as a Suspiciously Similar Substitute to Elizabeth Greene, two individuals who are responsible for infesting a major city (San Francisco and Manhattan Island respectively).
