• Tear Jerker: The final level of Episode 1 ends with a baby being abandoned by their parents, with only a vague explanation as to why its own mother cannot keep it. Unwilling to leave the baby at an orphanage with an uncertain future, Carrie realizes she could give the baby the life she never experienced as a child and adopts it.
• The Woobie: The main character, believe it or not. For such a lowkey game, Carrie's blog posts later reveal that she's had a tough life: her father up and left the family when she was only a toddler, and her own mother passed away before Carrie graduated college. It's implied that she took up caregiving as a way of dealing with her abandonment issues, which she eventually channels to do good, leading her to adopt an abandoned baby while working at the nursery in Africa in the hopes that they will always be together.
