- Awesome Music: Singles Going Steady, from start to finish. It's surprisingly cohesive for a compilation album that just collects all the band's singles.
- Epic Riff: The bassline of "Boredom", the echoing effect of "Ever Fallen in Love" especially.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Johnny Marr changed his last name from "Maher" to avoid confusion with fellow Mancunian musician John Maher, the Buzzcocks' drummer at the time. Years later, Mike Joyce, the drummer of Marr's band, The Smiths, became the drummer for the Buzzcocks.
