- Creator's Pet: Naruto, this story will have you believe that Naruto can do no wrong and is always right, and without flat out saying it, it's often implied Naruto could've ended Ozai any time he wanted to.
- Sokka as well the story constantly claims that being a nonbender makes him more dangerous than anyone else in the Gaang, and like Naruto the story treats him as if he's always right.
- Designated Hero: Naruto he's supposedly the "hero" but he's gigantic asshole to everyone except Azula,is a complete hypocrite, and his go to solution to his problems seems to be murder.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: For a fic called "Bodyguard of Azula" we don't actually see Naruto doing a lot of that.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: When Naruto chastises Aang for defeating Ozai without killing him he comes off as nothing more than a bratty child who didn't get his way.
