  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Bob and Linda are caught in a lie they told their kids, sure it's not exactly the best thing to do to their kids, but given how flippant and irrational they act towards a toy that they stopped playing with and how little they regarded with how it took up too much space in their very small apartment, it's hard to not feel sorry for the parents with how far they tried to keep up the lie. Then it doesn't help when Gayle, an equally flippant and irrational person, decides to rat out Linda due to her being unable to handle a lie their parents told her years ago despite the fact that she's a grown woman who should have figured the lie out by now. Although given that it's Gayle it makes sense but just makes it all the more reason to feel sorry for Linda and Bob.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: While it wasn't cool that Bob and Linda lied to Tina, Gene and Louise, the episode makes it out that we're supposed to be on their side and that they are rightfully angry at their parents for lying. While it can be understood that they're unhappy with being lied to, it's hard to really feel bad for them given that their Wheelie Mammoth took up way too much space in their small apartment and that they stopped playing with it not long after winning it in it's debut episode, and that they only realized that it went missing months after Bob and Linda donated it.
