- Ho Yay: In "The Golden Lily", Jill gazes starry-eyed at Sydney and pays adoring comments to Sydney's appearance and character. The reason for this "Sydney lovefest", is because she feels Adrian's love of Sydney through their psychic bond. She acts as if she loves Sydney.
- Official Couple: A few, by the end of the series. Jill/Eddie, Angeline/Trey, Olive/Neil, Adrian/Sydney.
- Portmanteau Couple Name: Sydrian (Sydney/Adrian), Jeddie (Jill/Eddie).
- The Woobie: Jill. Her life changes drastically when she finds out she's Lissa's half-sister and is a princess because of this. Then assassins try to kill her to overthrow Lissa. The assassins succeed, but Adrian brings her back to life. She than gets a Psychic Link with Adrian because of this and has to feel him pitying himself and missing Rose. On top of all this, she has a hard time adjusting to a human school and finding new friends. Not to mention she misses her parents.
