• Alternate Character Interpretation: Fumito. With the reveal that his grandfather Mahito had unwavering faith that Fumito had the ability to remove Saya's dependence on blood and tasked him to do so, were all of his horrific experiments really just his increasingly unethical attempts to carry out his grandfather's wishes? Or faced with a seemingly impossible task, did Fumito choose to Take a Third Option to ensure Saya's survival by either increasing her food supply or removing her inability to feed on humans?
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Despite Yuka's expanded role, Saya still doesn't get a chance to confront her over her actions in the tv series. Saya's amnesia prevents her from recognizing Yuka the first time they meet, and the second time Saya is so focused on Fumito that she doesn't even acknowledge Yuka's presence despite Yuka directly incapacitating her with an energy weapon.
