• Harsher in Hindsight: Avon snipes re Blake: "One day that great big bleeding heart of his will get us all killed." Everyone gets killed in the final episode right after Avon gives Blake a bleeding heart.
• Ho Yay:
  • Avon and Tynus, from Tynus' transparent joy in seeing him again, to the It's Personal nature of Tynus' betrayal, to Avon risking prison for him in the first place. It helps that Tynus' betrayal foreshadows the reveal about Avon's female love interest in Series C. It is pronounced enough that it's common fanon (in Slash Fic circles at least) that they are former lovers.
  • Blake spends half the episode flirting with Dr. Bellfriar.
• WTH, Costuming Department?: The squeaky brown vinyl 'bug suits', the Michelin Man hazmat suits, and the firefighters who look like silver fried eggs with legs.
