- Overshadowed by Controversy: One of the reasons why the movie polarized both critics and audiences is the scene where Anna and "Sean" are in the bathtub together, though in reality Nicole Kidman and Cameron Bright were never in the same room during the filming of the bathroom scene, and Bright was never naked. Both Kidman and Jonathan Glazer have said the scene was not meant to be exploitative.
