• It's the Same, So It Sucks: While fans are happy that Sin Lance has finally been reunited with Black Canary, they're annoyed that she's yet another victim of DC aging up child characters into teenagers following Jon Kent and Lian Harper. Similar sentiments have been expressed regarding Meridian (who is an adult time travelling version of the young teenager Maps Mizoguchi), with some even feeling that she is too different from Maps in character, which along with the absence of young Maps in the story so far has made Meridian feel like another example of this trend even if she is not technically an aged-up version of the current Maps.
• Unexpected Character:
  • Meridian. She's Maps Mizaguchi from the future!
  • In Issue 2, Harley says that she has a way to bypass the megalodons that guard Themyscira. It turns out that this is King Shark, whose command over sharks extends to their predecessors.
