** The film's depiction of Two Face is one of the most controversial points of the film, largely due to him being depicted as a [[PracticallyJoker Joker wannabe]] who has [[little in common]] with the original Two-Face. At the same time, there are plenty of fans who think that this incarnation of Two Face is entertaining thanks to his funny dynamic with the Riddler and Creator/TommyLeeJones' campy performance.

* LGBTFanbase: Chris O'Donnell gained quite the queer male following for his role as Robin, not only among adults at the time, but he was also an early ClosetKey for those that were kids in the 90's. In addition to his boyish good looks, the prominent scenes where he is barefoot, in rubber, and/or tied up drew the attention of many a fetishist as well.

** "Kiss From a Rose" by Music/{{Seal}} won Song of the Year and Record of the Year at the Grammys, and hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (#4 on the Year-End chart), even though it only fails to be an AwardBaitSong because it wasn't made for the movie (and because it actually was first used for ''Film/TheNeverEndingStoryIII'' soundtrack). Seal considers the song an OldShame, though.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Say what you want about the film, but music from the soundtrack for ''Batman Forever'' was a big deal in 1995:

* CondemnedByHistory: While reviews were always mixed about the movie, it was the most financially successful entry of the ''Film/BatmanFilmSeries''. Audiences of the era approved of ''Forever'''s LighterAndSofter tone for being more family-friendly, [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids as opposed to the previous entry]] by Creator/TimBurton. Nowadays, ''Film/BatmanReturns'' is [[VindicatedByHistory seen as the better movie]], often neck-and-neck with [[Film/Batman1989 the 1989 film]] for the title of best of the original film series, while the LighterAndSofter tone of ''Forever'' has developed a backlash that, combined with the disastrous reputation of [[Film/BatmanAndRobin its own sequel]], helps to place it somewhere near the bottom of Batman film rankings.
