• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
  • The random 2D transition scenes. They're not foreshadowed, and nobody brings them up at all in the film.
  • When the bands are on the paperboy's desk, they suddenly start performing a song using the items on the desk as musical instruments in improbable ways. (The drum part is performed by Edison jumping on a stapler, the piano by Daisy jumping on a single key from a computer keyboard, and strings by Amelia and Stretch holding a paperclip. Roxy playing her electric guitar is the only "normal" instrument.) There's no reason for the musical number, and it just stops after the boy returns to his room.
• Nightmare Fuel: The original human designs. It's a blessing they changed them in the final cut, but still!
