• Even Better Sequel: No Surrender was considered good, but No Road Home has been praised as one of the best Avenger stories in a while. It dealt with the major problems bogging down its predecessor (too many issues and too many characters), creating a more streamlined piece that focuses more on the characters and their thoughts.
• Fanfic Fuel: The first teamup between G.I.R.L. and R.E.S.C.U.E.. Featuring POD-2, Gomi, and Bill the Lobster.
• Tear Jerker: The deaths of the Gods of Olympus. Hercules arrives in time only to hear his sister Athena’s dying words, saying that until he dies he will never be a true Olympian.
• Unexpected Character: Conan the Barbarian. Seriously, who expected the first thing Marvel to do with the Conan license was to go back to the 70s and 80s and let the Cimmerian run havoc with the Avengers?
