• Harsher in Hindsight: A lot of the early episode with the Gaang looking for Appa, including Aang's assertion that "He's here, I can feel it," becomes much harsher with the later revelation that Appa was nowhere near Ba Sing Se at the time. Aang was wrong, and his quest was doomed to end in failure.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: On the other hand, Long Feng's veiled threat on Appa becomes this because Appa was not yet in Ba Sing Se at the time, meaning Long Feng was totally bluffing.
• Signature Scene: On a broader note, the ending scene with Long Feng's monologue and Jet’s brainwashing is one for the series, and is cited as one of the show’s darkest and most iconic moments.
