YMMV / Arthur's Missing Pal

• Designated Hero / Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Arthur falls under this to some people. While the film does make him feel bad for losing Pal, he loses some sympathy due to him being basically a neglectful pet owner to his dog Pal in this movie, as he forgot to feed him breakfast to instead go play water balloon fight with his friends, didn’t take him outside to pee, and got mad at him for revealing his hiding spot even though Pal needed to pee. In addition, montage scenes which could show a more positive light for Arthur instead show him being more negectful to Pal as Arthur left Pal outside in the hot sun, dragged and choking Pal with a leash, and since the movie hints that Pal has worms, it is implied that Arthur is feeding Pal food he shouldn't eat. Even Youtuber PeanutButterGamer admits that he would have ended the movie at Arthur's Jerkass Realization and even goes as far as to declare Arthur is the movie’s villain, who rightfully deserves to be sad when he realizes he treated his dog poorly, and doesn’t deserve to find him back!
• Unintentional Uncanny Valley: The way the characters were translated into 3D doesn't look the best to say the least.
