* NarmCharm: Frylock's affliction from cancer in "Party All The Time" is treated with an unusual amount of gravitas, despite the same episode having Shake dying twice due to his own stupidity and nobody else caring, and yet it manages to be somewhat of a TearJerker.

* NauseaFuel: It wasn't so bad in the first season, but it got progressively worse as the show went on.
** The rest of "The" after Frylock moves out. The unfathomably unsanitary conditions Shake and Meatwad leave their house in leads to them developing severe pinkeye that blinds them. It's such a pigsty that the smoke and odors lead to Carl getting hospitalized.

** Master Shake is generally an unsympathetic Jerkass, but there are occasions where he falls into this. He generally tends to deserve what he gets, but episodes like "Bookie", "Muscles", and "Anubis" have him suffer horribly while not doing much to deserve it outside of being an idiot.

* CrossesTheLineTwice: A LOT of episodes thrive on line-crossing insanity, to the point where there's almost too many examples to list:
** Dickesode is probably the crown jewel of ATHF line-crossing, from its mere premise to the fact that it ends with Shake eating Carl's dick. The entire episode is so ridiculously vulgar that it's hysterical.
** Handbanana is arguably just as insane; it gleefully ping-pongs over the line from start to finish. The titular character raping Carl the first time is definitely shocking, though it quickly becomes hilarious when it happens again, and again, and again. By the time Spaghetti starts raping Carl too (with Master Shake MASTURBATING TO IT, no less), it's near impossible not to be completely flabbergasted at what's unfolding on the screen.
** The entirety of Carl is an absolutely demented riot, though Rudy blasting Carl AND Shake into red paste at the end is likely where things go into overdrive... if they weren't already there when Boxy Brown reveals that Carl set him on fire, then pissed on him.
** Bible Fruit stars three of Frylock's friends; a recovering alcoholic/sex/drug addict, his fiance (who he'd viciously beaten in the past), and a former cocaine addict. The mere existence of these three characters would make the episode very dark... were they not talking fruits. The fact that they are quickly turns what'd be an incredibly bleak premise into one big ball of hilarity.
** Knapsack going from a goofy WesternAnimation/DoraTheExplorer parody to a twisted plot about an amateur porno crew intending to use Manchild Meatwad as one of their stars is one of the most brilliantly fucked up Bait-and-Switches in any cartoon. By the time Jubilee reveals she eats dog food for who knows how many of their skits, the line is basically a smoldering pile of ash on the pavement.
** Shake's dialogue and general behavior is usually gloriously douche-y and fucked up, though him committing suicide with a shotgun just so the Marines won't enlist him is definitely among his most line-crossing moments. Every moment he's on-screen in Laser Lenses is arguably a contender, as well.

* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Although Frylock is usually TheStoic, his reaction to accidentally killing Shake and Meatwad in "Super Birthday Snake" really shows Carey Mean's talent. It helps that this is one of the only few times in the whole series that Frylock looks and sounds OOCIsSeriousBusiness genuinely horrified.

** Seasons 3 and 4 (more-so the latter) are downplayed examples; the third season is considered a slight step down from the second, though it's still widely regarded as excellent. The fourth season has a few more duds in comparison to the first three seasons, and unfortunately gets rid of the beloved cold opens of previous seasons, though it's, regardless, generally agreed to be the last consistently good season. The film, similarly, is often grouped in with the 4th season as the last great piece of Aqua Teen media.

Added example(s)

* GrowingTheBeard: The show was readily established as off-the-wall and goofy, though it wasn't until the Mooninites were introduced in the fourth episode that the character's personalities were fully established, and the series' oddball sense of humor really began to take off. The rest of the first season took the entire concept of ATHF to even more absurdly funny heights. By the following two seasons, the insanity of the show peaked, to the point that it reached fan favorite status.

* SeasonalRot: General consensus is that Seasons 3 and 4 started slowly declining in quality, but were still entertaining to watch, with the film being the series' last hurrah before fully falling into this trope with Season 5. Common complaints include the series slowly phasing out fan favorites like the Mooninites and Dr. Weird (with season 4 axing Cold Opens altogether,) as well as more heavy reliance on blood and gore and VulgarHumor, and already Jerkass characters taking further levels in Jerkass so much as to strain their likability as s.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: For the sake of brevity, just know that there are... a lot of moments in the series that have little-to-no plot relevance. Considering the batshit insane and completely random nature of the show, however, it's very fitting. This scene, though brief, is never brought up again.
