* CrossesTheLineTwice: A ''LOT'' of episodes thrive on line-crossing insanity, to the point where there's almost too many examples to list:
** ''[[Recap/AquaTeenHungerForceS4E4Dickesode Dickesode]]'' is probably the crown jewel of ATHF line-crossing, from its mere premise to the fact that it ''[[NauseaFuel ends with Shake eating Carl's dick]]''. The entire episode is so ridiculously vulgar that it's hysterical.
** ''[[Recap/AquaTeenHungerForceS4E5Handbanana Handbanana]]'' is arguably just as insane; it gleefully ping-pongs over the line from start to finish. The titular character raping Carl the first time is definitely shocking, though it quickly becomes hilarious when it happens again, and again, ''[[BlackComedyRape and again]]''. By the time [[EvilKnockoff Spaghetti]] starts raping Carl too (with Master Shake ''MASTURBATING TO IT'', no less), it's near impossible not to be completely flabbergasted at what's unfolding on the screen.
** The entirety of ''[[Recap/AquaTeenHungerForceS3E13Carl Carl]]'' is an absolutely demented riot, though Rudy blasting Carl AND Shake into red paste at the end is likely where things go into overdrive... if they weren't already there when Boxy Brown reveals that Carl set him on fire, then ''pissed on him''.
** ''Bible Fruit'' stars three of Frylock's friends; a recovering alcoholic/sex/drug addict, his fiance (who he'd [[DomesticAbuse viciously beaten in the past]]), and a former cocaine addict. The mere existence of these three characters would make the episode '''very''' dark... were they not ''talking fruits''. The fact that they ''are'' quickly turns what'd be an incredibly bleak premise into one big ball of hilarity.
** ''[[Recap/AquaTeenHungerForceS11E5Knapsack Knapsack]]'' going from a goofy WesternAnimation/DoraTheExplorer parody to a twisted plot about an amateur porno crew intending to use '''[[{{Manchild}} Meatwad]]''' as one of their stars is one of the most brilliantly fucked up [[BaitAndSwitch Bait-and-Switches]] in any cartoon. By the time [[CaptainErsatz Jubilee]] reveals she ''eats dog food'' for who knows how many of their skits, the line is basically a smoldering pile of ash on the pavement.
** Shake's dialogue and general behavior is usually gloriously douche-y and fucked up, though him ''committing suicide with a shotgun'' just so the Marines won't enlist him is definitely among his most line-crossing moments. Every moment he's on-screen in ''Laser Lenses'' is arguably a contender, as well.

** Season 8 and beyond are considered by some fans to be just as bad as seasons 5-to-7, due to not doing much to lighten the issues of the latter seasons.

** The entirety of ''[[Recap/AquaTeenHungerForceS3E13Carl Carl]]'' is an absolutely demented riot, though Rudy ripping off Carl ''and'' Shake's skin at the end is likely where things go into overdrive... if they weren't already there when Boxy Brown reveals that Carl set him on fire, then ''pissed on him''.

** Seasons 3 and 4 (more-so the latter) are [[DownplayedTrope downplayed]] examples; the third season is considered a slight step down from the second, though it's still widely regarded as excellent. The fourth season has a few more duds in comparison to the first three seasons, and unfortunately gets rid of the beloved [[TheTeaser cold opens]] of previous seasons, though it's, regardless, generally agreed to be the last consistently good season. The film, similarly, is often grouped in with the 4th season as the last great piece of Aqua Teen media.

* SeasonalRot: General consensus is that Seasons 3 and 4 started slowly declining in quality, but were still entertaining to watch, with the film being the series' last hurrah before fully falling into this trope with Season 5. Common complaints include the series slowly phasing out fan favorites like the Mooninites and Dr. Weird (with season 4 axing {{Cold Open}}s altogether,) as well as more heavy reliance on [[BloodierAndGorier blood and gore]] and VulgarHumor, and already {{Jerkass}} characters [[TookALevelInJerkass taking further levels in Jerkass]] so much as to strain their likability as {{Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist}}s.

** Meatwad is implied to either be a neglected child or mentally deficient (or "mentally retarded" as he himself puts it). In "PDA", it's implied that Meatwad doesn't even ''know'' whether he has real parents or not.

** The [[DarkerAndEdgier post-movie seasons]]. Some fans either didn't mind or [[GrowingTheBeard actually welcomed the more mature themes and heavier violence of those seasons with open arms]]; with a sub-set of fans thinking it actually improved the humor overall. Other fans feel the show suffered SeasonalRot as a result of the darker content, and that it began to [[AnimatedShockComedy rely too heavily on vulgarity and]] {{Gorn}} at the expense of good jokes and the likable characterization that made the first 4 seasons great.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: For the sake of brevity, just know that there are... a '''lot''' of moments in the series that have little-to-no plot relevance. Considering the batshit insane and completely random nature of the show, however, it's very fitting. One of the best examples would be in "Gee Whiz", where Frylock tries to tell Meatwad about the Bible but accidentally pulls out the {{Necronomicon}} instead. This scene, though brief, is never brought up again.

** Pretty much every episode, given the [[QuirkyWork nature of the series]], and became increasingly bizarre as the show went on. While some episodes are tame (such as "Rabbot" or "The Dressing"), other episodes (like "Wi-Tri" and "One Hundred") are just straight-up weird.

** The [[DarkerAndEdgier post-movie seasons]]. Some fans either didn't mind or [[GrowingTheBeard actually welcomed the more vulgar themes and increased violence of those seasons with open arms]], while others felt that the show fell into SeasonalRot because of it.
** Similarly, the renamed seasons[[note]]''Aqua Unit Patrol Squad'' (season 8), ''Aqua Something You Know Whatever'' (season 9), ''Aqua TV Show Show'' (season 10), and ''Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever'' (season 11)[[/note]]. Did they WinBackTheCrowd, were they still part of the show's declining quality, or were they the moment when the rot actually started?
** "[[SeriesFauxnale Last One Forever and Ever]]" (The 2009 episode). Many fans have no idea what to think about this episode. Is it a good episode or is it a boring episode? However, most fans can agree that this episode wouldn't have been a fitting conclusion to the show.

* BaseBreakingCharacter: All members of the Aqua Teens:
** Master Shake. You'll either love him for his JerkAss tendencies or hate him for the same reason.
** Frylock is either the reasonable OnlySaneMan or [[StopHavingFunGuys an irritating prick that needs to get that stick out of his ass]] who also shown at times [[NotSoAboveItAll to be even worse than Shake.]] A prime example being the episode "Fry Legs".
** Meatwad. Some fans find him funny and [[TheDogBitesBack loves it when he gets his revenge on Shake]] while other fans find him as a CreatorsPet who is also an annoying brat that deserves all of the abuse he's been getting. This is especially shown in episodes where he fully grasps the JerkassBall.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Occurs so frequently throughout the series that listing each individual instance would take a tremendous amount of time. So for the sake of brevity, just know that there are a ''lot'' of moments in the series that have little-to-no plot relevance. * CrossesTheLineTwice: Concerning "Hand Banana". Rape is a horrible thing, and straight examples of BlackComedyRape are highly controversial. However, when you have the rapist be a genetically engineered dog with a growly voice targeting a crude {{Jerkass}} who thought rape was funny beforehand, and said man being more angry about it than traumatized, you have a recipe for a still tasteless, yet morbidly hilarious episode.
