YMMV / Agents of Atlas

Go To

  • Diagnosed by the Audience: Uranian. On his return in Agents of Atlas, Bob's general... alienness has been played up. While some of it comes from being raised by the distinctly inhuman (but not Inhuman) Uranians, it's also been there since he was a child, having no reaction to his dad bundling him into a spaceship.
  • Genius Bonus: Wave and Aero encounter each other over the Pacific Ocean, each accusing the other of being out of their territory. This mirrors real-life maritime territorial disputes between the Philippines and China.
  • My Real Daddy: Jeff Parker, of course, for taking the characters out of obscurity and putting them in some solid stories. In fact, on only one occasion before the relaunch have the original Agents been written by someone else in the modern Marvel Universe (Peter Milligan in a Fear Itself tie-in). The announcement of Greg Pak for the relaunch was broadly welcomed though, as he has a history with the team due to being the writer of Herc back when Atlas was its backup strip and frequent crossover companion.
  • Out of the Ghetto: The first issues of The New Agents of Atlas: War of the Realms and Atlantis Attacks broke out of the Minority Show Ghetto when they sold out so quickly, that Marvel had to grant each one a second printing.
  • Unexpected Character: War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #3 has Adi, one of the characters of Marvel Future Avengers, making an appearance. His only prior appearance outside of the anime (which took place elsewhere in the multiverse) was in the Marvel Future Fight Firsts mini-series.
